sore legs (Sunday, May 16, 2010 / 10:34 PM)
my
chinese tutor is way beyond weird. not to be mean but, she doesn't even know how to use a highlighter. i was having tuition this morning. the teacher asked for a highlighter, so i handed her one. the first time she used it, she used it correctly. the second time she used it, she was using the pointed part to highlight the words. it drew thin lines and she drew many think lines to make it a rectangle. i was like
wth, do you even know how to use a highlighter? of course i didn't say it out, but even if i did, i doubt she'll understand.
HAHA. (that was not a racist remark). another weird thing is that, we have a standing fan and she blows it towards the floor.
i'm like "my feet do not need the wind".
anyway, after a torturous hour and a half of non-stop
chinese, i got ready to go out with NICOLE!! the weather today was freakishly hot. in fact, the weather these few days are crazy. it's like it's hot, then it rains.
yar, i know, convectional rain, whatever. damn u Singapore, why do you have to be so close to the equator and surrounded by water?!?!
okay, so we met at
bishan. i got a cup of coffee and she got a cup of bubble tea. we wanted to go to a flea at
clarke quay but we had no idea how to get to the flea. in the end, we went to orchard. as usual, we walked almost the whole of orchard, went to a few shops, tried on a few clothes. we went to
Heeren and met
jes and her friends there. while there, we went to the toilet and left our bags beside the sink. then a cleaner told us to be watch out for our
belongings and told us some grandmother story which was bloody long, AND she made a racist remark. she was like "be careful, the
malay and the
indians who come in will take you things away."
WTH. racist much. i was like, LMFAO.
after that, we continued walking and walking non stop. we bought a shirt from Forever 21($25 gone just like that) then, we had dinner at some burger place. i went home after that. my legs were super sore. going home and lying on the couch was the best feeling ever!
so
yar, i spent my whole day in orchard. it wasn't very productive, but it was worth going with a
bestie :) and to
jes: my mum told me something that you said to her.
HAHA.
