Ritual. (Saturday, April 18, 2009 / 4:49 PM)
just started reading a new book i bought. Ritual by Mo Hayder. something tells me that this book is really interesting and mystifying. just by reading the introduction, i feel like reading more.
Somewhere in the remote Kalahari desert in South Africa,nestling among the dry ochre veld, is a small weed-covered pool at the bottom of a crater. Ordinary except for its stillness - the casual observer wouldn't pay it much attention, wouldn't give it a second thought. Unless they were to swim in it. Or dip a toe into it. Then, they'd notice something wrong. Something different.
First, they'd notice the water was cold. Freezing in fact. The sort of cold that doesn't belong to this planet. The sort of cold that comes from centuries and centuries of silence, from the ancient recesses of the universe. And, second, they'd notice that it was almost empty of life, only a few colourless canefish living in it. Last, if they were foolish enough to swim in it they'd discover it's fatal secret: there are no sides to this pool and no bottom - just a straight, cold line to the heart of the earth. Maybe that's when it would come to them, repeated over and over again over in the whispered ancestral languages of the Kalahari people, This is the path to hell.

i plan to finish book within the month. maybe it's not possible with the fact that i have to study for my mid year exams.

tuesday-14 April
had our 2.4km run. everyone was nervous. well, at least i did better than last year even though i got a D. running was never my favourite. since the sec 1's had to go first, we had to wait till 4.30 to run. we waited for 3 hrs doing practically nth. well, i slept for half an hour. jia xun finished the fastest. he was cheering for his friends, screaming his lungs out. i was sitting next to him and he was like screaming into my ears... haha, i could have gone deaf. anyway, we had drama lessons today. we played a game which was really fun. leslie stepped on si ya's toe while playing the game. then, we acted out our first scene of our act. it was interesting. anila and i were supposed to act freaked out when lionel touched anila's shoulder. i said things like use dettol and hand sanitizer. after the run, we went to the bubble tea shop. i can't really remember what we did, but i remembered that we were laughing a lot.

wednesday-15 April
we had SSRP today. can't remember which teacher was absent. si ya's toe became pretty bad. it was swollen. jessica ate a lot of different fruits for recess... haha, she said she was not well. after lessons, we had assembly. our classmates were presenting our learning journey to the marina barrage. my friends and i could tell that they were trying to sound really english. it was quite weird though. when joel fam was speaking, he pronounced a word wrongly. it was really unexpected of him as his english was good. u could hear ppl laughing when he pronounced 'quay' wrongly. it's 'key' not 'kuay'. had training. for once we thought we could use the indoor court. but, we left after training there for a while. Powen saud it was too crowded. before we left. Powen grouped us in 3s. me, shin ru and yun ying had to play with thomas. yun ing was not there yet, so shin ru and i played first. it was really stressful playing with thomas as he was much much better than us.

okay, i can't remember what happened on thursday. all i can remember is us recommending si ya shampoo brands. when i walked pass siya, i was like holding her hair ands saying 'what the hell is that?' jes was laughing. si ya siad she dyed her hair. no wonder her hair is like 'spoiled'. we told her to use all sorts of shampoo, haha. i almost seems like we are some sort of salesperson trying to sell her shampoo.

friday- 17 April
nth much happened today. had chinese oral. it wasn't that bad. not as bad as last year.i'm confident that i will pass. we ate lunch at the coffee shop opposite school. we were laughing like mad. si ya was like playing with the ice in her mouth. i took a picture of her. her face was so FUNNY. i showed to everyone and they started bursting out in laughter. when everyone finally stopped, i drank my milo and then i saw si ya and michelle acting out how LYN talks on the phone. couldn't control myself and started laughing. the milo in my mouth went to my nose i a spat out everything. it was so stupid.

Finished studying (Monday, April 13, 2009 / 7:39 PM)
k, i've just finished studying for geography. now i have the time to post. yesterday, played tennis again. forgot to being my sports shoes, so i played barefooted. not the best option, but, it works. then we went to borders. i wanted to buy that water bottle i saw on anila's blog, turns out that they only sell it a the borders at parkway. i walked a the CD section. i saw so many CDs i wanted. anyone care to buy one for me? so after walking around borders for like a really long time, i bought a book. 'Ritual' by Mo Hayder. i was trying to find books written by Joe Hill. the book 'heart shaped box' was really interesting. unfortunately, i can only find one book of his. then, we went to this place opposite Serene centre. went to cold storage to buy groceries. the toilet was really stylish. and the place sold really nice stuff.
shorts over skinnies? really unglam. but fret not, i only wore that for fun. i would never wear anything like that.

had PE today. it was really awesome, although i had 2 head shots. half of the class played basketball, while the others did their 5 items. boy were a team and girls were another. qing yi was incredible. he could shoot the ball in from a pretty far distance. christina helped us win points. her aiming was quite good. it was tiring but fun. time passes quickly when u are having fun. Mrs ang did not come. she left us waiting for her. i have no idea what happened. anila was like "don't tell me she really fell down the stairs because that is what i always hoped when it was time for math" WTH. oh yes, guess what. while i was stirring in the ingredients into the
BOILING soup, one bubble just burst and a whole lot of soup scalded my hand and it FREAKIN HURTS! it's like ripping of your skin from your flesh. not that i've tried it before.
someone stuck a spider man figurine to the fan, which eventually got destroyed by some ppl.

ever since jun kai sat next to brandon, he has became a totally diff person. ooh... since when he became taller than shu jian?
2 drinks i bought yesterday. well, i did not buy them, my parents did. i'm underage to buy. i personally like breezer. peach flavoured rum. it comes in other flavours too. lime taste good. and the other one was Hooch, black current alcoholic drink. the taste of alcohol is really drunk. anyway, the amount of alcohol in these drinks are not enough to get you drunk, so yar.
